I focus on texture, movement form and colour using forging and hammering techniques, working with Fine Silver & 22ct Yellow Gold, precious and semi precious stones and avoiding environmentally harmful processes wherever possible. Distinctive, elegant and pure.

I use a variety of quality, conflict free, precious and semi-precious stones according to current season, availability and style of piece. Currently the most popular are: Freshwater Pearls, Lapis Lazuli, Garnets and Amethyst, but please feel free to request any stone of your choice.

I am influenced and inspired by the timeless formations of nature which surround me. From the tiny details of moss to the vast solitude upon the mountain summits, from huge layers of ancient rock to the patterns within a single stone.

My inspirational starting point involves preliminary sketching and photography, which results in a theme. Individual pieces tend to evolve through the making process so that no two pieces are completely the same and each has a life of its own. I like to feel that I am not completely in charge of the end result and tend to let the metal form its own design character. It is an instinctive process.

I aim for my work to be accessible yet special, with a quality and an individuality that hand crafted products should always own.
